There are many beautiful places in Florida, but only one is closely identified with American corporate history. That is Whitehall, the winter home of Henry Flagler, creative mind behind the most profitable corporation in history, Standard Oil. If you choose to exercise the special event privileges of a corporate membership, multiple rooms in Whitehall are available for your event. Whether it's a reception, meeting, or lavish dinner, the Museum's Membership department will assist you in creating a memorable event that is sure to please even the most discerning guests. When you choose the Flagler Museum for your private event you are also contributing to the preservation of this National Historic Landmark and continuing the legacy of corporate philanthropy created during America’s Gilded Age.

Why simply impress your guests when you can inspire them within "One of the most sumptuous houses ever built in America" (Mobil Motorist). In 1902, Flagler built his Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach overlooking Lake Worth. At the time a story in the New York Herald described Whitehall as, "More wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world..." Today, Whitehall is preserved as the Flagler Museum, a nonprofit corporation which provides unique educational experiences for more than 100,000 visitors each year. Grand Hall

Entertain your guests in Gilded Age style with cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres in the 4,800 square foot Grand Hall. Designed in the Beaux Arts style by famed architects Carrere & Hastings, Whitehall is an awe-inspiring work of art. The Grand Hall features a magnificent double staircase, dome ceiling paintings, opulent gold leif finishes, and marble throughout. The room is filled with objects and symbols that reflect the great traditions of art and literature in Western Civilization. The Grand hall's size and beauty make it perfect for large, elegant receptions.

During an event guests can explore the Museum’s first floor rooms, including the Library, Music Room, Dining Room, Ballroom, and Drawing Room, while Docents are available to answer any questions about the Museum, the collection, and its rich history. This experience alone will make your event stand above all the others.

Open to the sublime South Florida weather, the Courtyard’s tranquility is broken only by the gentle bubbling of the marble fountain, a 1902 copy of the famous Venus Fountain that graces the Boboli Gardens in Italy. The courtyard is the perfect space for both large and small receptions.

The Boardroom Suite

The Flagler Museum restored three rooms on Whitehall's second floor, including rebuilding original walls and refurbishing original fixtures, to create a historic, yet state-of-the-art, Boardroom  Suite. In much the same way Whitehall originally combined modern technology with historic interiors, the Boardroom has state-of-the-art communications and audio-visual systems with elegant surroundings.

The intimate feel of the tastefully decorated Study is the perfect setting for small meetings. The Study can be easily closed off from the rest of the meeting areas for privacy making it a convenient and functional space.  As a reception area for small groups, the Yellow Room is a relaxing and tasteful setting, higlighted by beautifully restored painted panels. The Boardroom Suite also features a kitchen, bar, pantry, and private bathroom.
